It took me a while to find out what I am going to put in my culture bag but, after a while I thought of some really important stuff. The first thing I put in was my diamond earring that shined in the sun beautifully. The second item I put in was my baby blanket; it truly does bring me joy. The third thing was my favorite toy witch every time I look at it; it reminds me of when I was little. The fourth thing I put in my bag is a Christmas present. I put this item in my bag because it is a family tradition. The final thing is my dog because he represents to me responsibility. Now I am going to tell you a little story about all of these items.
I got the sparkling diamond earrings right before my grandma died. These earrings are very special to me because my grandma loved diamonds, and because it was on Christmas when she gave then to me. Now every time I see the earring or wear them they remind me of her because she loved Diamonds.
My baby blanket I got when I was a little baby. When I was three I would not leave the house without my baby blanket. I had it wherever I went. My mom told me that if I didn’t have it when I went into the car I would make her go and fetch it from the house. Now every time I see it, it brings me memories and joy.
My favorite toy when I was little was baby doll. This baby doll was named Dolly I would not go anywhere without her. Once I went to the mall with my mom and I had my baby doll. I was carrying her and then I set her in the shopping cart and we were leaving I realized I didn’t have dolly. My mom and I went back into the store to find her and she was gone. I would not stop crying because she was my favorite doll. Now I would have to find a new toy.
My family and I have a common tradition an Christmas Eve. This tradition is opening one present on Christmas Eve. We do this because my great, grate grandma used to do this with her family. I know a lot of other families do the same thing as us.
We do this to celebrate the day before Christmas.
Last but not least is my dog. This symbolizes responsibility because, one year, I would say “dad can I have a dog?” Everyday he would say “maybe.” So one day my neighbors went on a trip for 2 weeks and they asked are family if we could take care of there dog. We said “yes.” My dad told me if I could take care of their dog that means, feeding him, walking him, and playing with him everyday I would get a dog!!! I was so happy to hear that come out of his mouth. So everyday I would be over at my neighbor’s house walking, petting, and feeding him. The last day I did every thing I had to do. My neighbor came home and since my dad was so proud of me, I got a dog for Christmas. It was a yorkie and a Pomeranian mix, that I named Jake.
